Through one liners the author attempts to express his opinion on some current as well as past issues, along with the other topics of importance and interlinkages that exist therein. ✒️OUR HISTORY

The debate rages on
As history appears to change course
Yet again, those reflections of the past 
Are being conveniently white-washed
For the truth to be viewed through a kaleidoscope
That distorted view, certainly takes pressure off the source
Carefully conceived, not a futile attempt I say
In due course opinions will sway
Of great men and their achievements
Overshadowed by those of the miscreants

The polity gears up its force
For there are changes to enforce
Little by little 
Legacies belittled
For what is being repeatedly said
Becomes the truth and a fact
The ideologies and their sister concerns
Are jubilant with the increasing mistrust
As it shall pave path for their heroes
The propaganda then shall facilitate the discourse

And since we’re here 
Taking the dare
To question and compare
Let's not disregard or forget 
That history picked up at the ruins
Or penned down with glory in the annals
Isn't necessarily the complete picture
Even lies have been penned with finesse in the scriptures

✒️THE GOVERNMENTS LIE

All governments lie!
But that's just a sweeping remark
Mind control or generation gone blind
A stitch in time or everything’s just fine
Loaded bank accounts or poverty & crime
Where do they really draw the line?
In authoritarian regimes they say
Carrot and stick is the way 
Opinions can be easily shaped
But our’s is a democracy
Then how do they get away

The capital’s air reeks of crisis
People missing from a state end up in ISIS
Pillars of democracy facing worst credibility crisis
It’s not just deception, but plentiful lies and compromises
Then there’s also the attitude and arrogance of the lot
That exacerbates the situation and often throws away the plot
It’s like how a bird goes down in chase; another’s taken down in haste
To hubris the public cheers, about the truth—nobody really cares
Just hullabaloo of compromised sources and journalism of copy paste

✒️The Media Story

Everything was great,
then it started to fall apart

Like the global warming
being contributed to fart

Everyone played their part
and deception was the name of the art

Obfuscation, exaggeration,
concocted theories and white lies

Manufactured the public opinion
like an amateur' dart hitting a bullseye

Mainstream news,
transformed into propagandist views

Instilling hatred and fear and creating the ideological divide
While carefully conniving with both the sides.

Often overdone and sometimes under
public rage and all the blunders

Professionalism and ethics,
became yesterday's talk

As headless chicken and sheep,
we were just perceived, as livestock

....

The Election Story Before We Get Started Just whom, or on what issues should one really vote this time? Should the choice entirely be based upon the premise of disappointment of the previous pick? If the promises of previous term have all disappeared into thin air, what is it that guarantees any change this time? What is it that makes one so hopeful this time? How exactly does one ascertain if this candidate be different from their predecessor, or one political party be better than the other? Has it finally come down to the point of all this being just one of those chores or responsibilities that one must fulfill? If casting vote and paying taxes—a duty of a good citizen, then what is the basic duty of a politician? More importantly how far along are they? India Takes Down Fake Currency

Prime Minister of India's address to the nation on 8th Nov'16 at 20:00 hrs came as a rude shock to many when in his address he made a revelation to the entire nation that the existing highest currency denominations in India which is INR 500 and INR 1000 would no longer be a legal tender starting midnight. What that implied was that these notes could no longer be used for any financial transaction and would have to be exchanged from the banks or post offices with the new currency notes of equal value. In four hours these major currency bills would become valueless. This was huge and nobody had a clue.
